Joan I. List Bart, 84, of Syracuse, passed away Wednesday, April 23. She was a graduate of Syracuse University with a bachelor's and master's degrees in Special Education and Administration. She was employed by NYS Mental Health Dept. as a teacher and by Onondaga County Mental Health as a program manager. She was an assistant director of the Cerebral Palsy Center as well as pre-school consultant with the Onondaga Madison BOCES. She worked for several years with Eagen Real Estate. She helped found and served as president of the Over the Rainbow Widow and Widowers Group. She was predeceased by her husband, Leon J. Bart and her daughter, Sharon Farr. Surviving are a son, Stephen (Cathy) Bart of Syracuse; a daughter, Suzanne (James) Lacy of Syracuse; two sisters, Judith Kucks of NJ, Jean Menton of Calif.; six grandchildren, Justin, Joshua, and Jeremy Farr, Kaleigh and Stephen Bart, and Daniel Lacy; four great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Services: 9:15 a.m. Monday at the Butler-Badman Funeral Home, Inc., 4504 W. Seneca Tpk. with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Michael-St. Peter Church. Interment: St. Agnes Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
