Lois L. Anness, 98, of Olathe, Kan., passed away February 10, 2012, at her home. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 22, at Shawnee Mission Memory Gardens, 23215 W 75th St., Shawnee, KS 66227. Lois was born May 15, 1913, to Cheshire and Florence Lister in Birmingham, England. Before living with her son and daughter-in-law, she and her husband, George, resided in New Bedford, Mass., and retired to Venice, Fla. She is preceded in death by her husband, George, newborn daughter, Stephanie, and her parents. She is survived by her son, Stephen and wife Maureen Anness, and grandchildren, Michael Anness (Lindsay), Kate Anness, and Matthew Anness (Katie). A special thanks needs to be given to our longtime caregiver, JoJo Vargas for all her loving care and to all the wonderful people at Kendallwood Hospice that helped us through Lois's terminal illness.
