2009 obituary. SCARBOROUGH -- Edna V. Juliano, 81, of Scarborough, passed away July 24, 2009 at MMC with her family by her side. She was born in Portland on May 12, 1928 a daughter of Frederick Currier and William and Ethel Little. Edna attended Cathedral School and Portland High School. Edna was a lifelong member of the Italian Heritage in Portland. She was known to her family and all who knew her as a devoted wife, mother, daughter, cousin, niece, and friend as well as being known as a second mom to many. Edna was a caregiver to all who needed her. Above all Edna loved her grandchildren dearly and enjoyed attending their sporting events. Often times you would see Edna cruising in her convertible with the top down, something she enjoyed many times with her husband Anthony. She also enjoyed spending time in Florida, watching the Red Sox, dancing, cooking Italian dinners and holiday dinners for her family and friends. Edna was known by all as a fabulous cook. Her generosity over the years was greatly appreciated and her family will remember the phrase that they often heard about their mother, 'I just love Edna'. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and members of the Scarborough community where she was known to all as 'Neen' and Mrs. TJ. Edna was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Anthony Juliano in 2003; her two sons, Stephen and William Dinsmore, step-son Anthony W. Juliano, and her step-daughter Rose-Elaine Juliano. Friends and Family are invited to attend visiting hours Monday July 27, 2009 from 5-8 p.m. at Jones, Rich and Hutchins Funeral Home 199 Woodford, St. Portland. Prayers will be recited at 9:15 a.m. Tuesday July 28, 2009 at Jones, Rich and Hutchins Funeral Home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception 307 Congress St. Portland. Internment will follow at Forest City Cemetery, South Portland.
