Mrs. Mildred Abbett, age 84, of Shelbina, died Sunday, September 17, 1995, in Salt River Nursing Home at Shelbina.
Mrs. Abbett was born in Knox County on July 30, 1911, the daughter of the late Elmer E. and Nellie greenfield Loft. On August 30, 1941, she was united in marriage to Russell Abbett in Shelby County. He preceded her in death.
Survivors are several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Harold B. "Pete" Loft; and one sister, Marjorie Loft Howard.
Mrs. Abbett was a graduate of the Clarence High School. She was a member of the Shelbina United Methodist Church.
Graveside services were conducted by Bro. Jim Bilbro in the old IOOF addition of the Shelbina Cemetery on Tuesday, September 19, 1995, at 11:00 a.m. the Greening-Eagan-Hayes Funeral Home of Shelbina were in charge of arrangements.
The family suggested memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
