William and Mary Ann were charter members of the Poland United Methodist Church and William was the contractor for the first two buildings. The Logans resided in what is now known as Logan Place, 320 N. Main Street, Poland, Ohio

Their first three children are actually buried in the Poland Presbyterian Cemetery.

A son, Albert B. moved to Missouri. He was a Sergeant Major at the end of the Civil War and became an attorney afterwards.

Probate records show cause of death was "old age"
