RoseMarie Carroll, 78, of Ansonia, peacefully entered into eternal rest on Friday morning March 16, 2012, at Gardner Heights Health Care in Shelton.
Mrs. Carroll was born in Derby Feb. 2, 1934, daughter of the late John and Michaelina Pitingoro Lombardi.
A lifelong resident of Ansonia, she was a graduate of Ansonia High School in 1951 and Hospital of St. Raphael School of Nursing in New Haven in 1954.
She was employed as a proud and devoted registered nurse at Yale Psychiatric Institute in New Haven until her retirement in 1997. Rose was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia and prior served as the parish nurse.
She is survived by a son, Robert E. Carroll and his wife, Nancy of Monterey, Calif., two daughters, Deborah A. Carroll Ph.D. and her husband Patrick McDonnell of Stratford and Patricia Ann Carroll and her companion Rick Wolffer of West Haven, a sister, Jacqueline DiPiro of Ansonia, five grandchildren, Robert E. Carroll Jr., Laura J. Carroll, and Timothy O. Carroll of CA, Meghan McDonnell and Kathleen McDonnell of Stratford and several nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral on Monday March 19, 8:15 am from the SPINELLI-RICCIUTI/BEDNAR-OSIECKI FUNERAL HOME, 62 Beaver Street in Ansonia, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am at Holy Rosary Church in Ansonia. Interment will follow in the family plot in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery in Derby. Visiting hours will be held on SUNDAY from 3-6 pm.
