Guido was born in Visalia, California on March 7, 1924, son of Joseph and Paolina Lombardi. Visalia was his only home until he was drafted into the Army in April, 1943. The Military was a big part of his life. In the Army he was part of the 120th Division and was sent to Europe via the Queen Mary, using anti-aircraft artillery to protect London, as well as engaged with the allies to protect Normandy, France from invasion.

After serving 4 years in the Army, he returned home. He married his childhood sweetheart, Frances Giannini on February 14, 1946. He was married for 66 years, and had 5 children - Leonard, Marlene, Richard, Marie, and Robert.

Guido worked for Pacific Bell for 35 years, retiring in 1982.

He died on December 15, 2015 at age 91, in Corona, California.

He is preceded in death by, his wife, Frances, his son, Leonard, and grandson, Joseph.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, December 23, 2015 at 8 am with Rosary beginning at 9 a.m. at Miller Memorial Chapel, 1120 W. Goshen Ave. in Visalia. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Visalia, 608 N. Church in Visalia. Burial following at Visalia Memorial Cemetery.
