Alice Thomsen - Lombardi
Resided in Daly City, CA.

Alice Thomsen - Lombardi daughter of the late Francis and Helen Thomsen passed away peacefully on Dec. 17, 2014, at age 76.

She is survived by her beloved husband Joe Lombardi, her cousin John Downey and Ken and Diane Lombardi and family, and loving mother and friend of many.

Alice was a San Francisco native and a school teacher for 35 years. She also dedicated time for continual participation with the San Francisco School District for retired teachers and her teachers sorority. Alice managed to be a person who was a natural philanthropist during her life and has helped many. Her joy came from showing love through empathy and compassion to all who crossed her threshold. Alice was truly a kind and gentle person with great values and traditional manners. She held strong family values and connection for all to learn from. Alice is known to have assisted more family and friends than can be listed on any page in simple form. She represented true mindfulness and a high level of pure honesty. If you are a person who has interacted with Alice, you know that you felt heard and understood by her, and that is why she was so powerful and yet humble. She was a teacher in more than academics. She was a teacher for humanity. Alice never proclaimed to be a leader or a high resonating being, but she was.

Although she never had children of her own, it is true that all the children who were bought into her life know her as a friend, mother and grandmother who was trust worthy, safe and dependable. Alice has been an example for us all to acknowledge and replicate the love, joy and compassion she showed to all. As we all move forward with her in our thoughts, one might consider performing an act of kindness and know you will feel her deepest joy.

The Lombardi family sincerely thanks you all for your thoughts and presence, wishing you all the best of health.
