LIZELLA, GA - Mary Elizabeth Long Berkner, 87, passed away on Wednesday, October 24, 2007. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 11A.M. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will be in Macon Memorial Park Cemetery with the Rev. Richard Jelly and Rev. Tim Long officiating. -Mrs. Berkner was born in Peach County, the daughter of the late Charlie Mae and Edith Frank Long. She was preceded in death by her husband Jerry H. Berkner. Mrs. Berkner was a sales associate retired from Belk Matthews and was a member of First Evangelical Methodist Church. -She is survived by her children, Brenda (John) Wilkinson of Lizella, Jerry F. (Cindy) Berkner of Byron, Debra Leclair of Macon and Steve Berkner of Lizella; sister, Christine (Jimmy) Griffin of Lizella; brothers, Earnest (Claire) Long of Eatonton, and Emmett Long of Macon; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. -The family will greet friends on Friday, October 26, 2007 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Macon Memorial Park Funeral Home.
