She was born in Parkersburg, the daughter of the late Bert and Virgie Miller Longwell. She was a homemaker and had worked at one time as a cook at Fairplains School. She had also worked at Kroger and had sold AMWAY and Avon.
She is survived by her children, Rick Bacorn and wife Cindy of St. Marys, W.Va., Linda Townsend and husband Bill of Davisville, and John Bacorn and Maggie Cantu of Wilcox, Ariz.; her sister, Maxine Custer of Parkersburg, and her brother, Robert 'Tom' Longwell of Parkersburg; her grandchildren, Kristy, Jason and Rob Miller; and her step-grandchildren, Nester, Joel and Jazmin Cantu; her great-grandchildren, Derick and Dakota Riel and Chase, and Shayla and Taylor Miller; her companion of 25 years, Acey Stevens of Parkersburg. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Bacorn; her brothers, John and Jim Longwell; one sister, Emma Joy; and one infant sister.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Friday at the Leavitt Funeral Home in Parkersburg, with Pastor Tim Nichols officiating. Interment will be in the Evergreen South Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Thursday.
