Born October 24, 1941 in Ashland, Ohio she was the daughter of James E. and Elizabeth Marie (Eighinger) Loveland. Sheila was a direct descendent of the founding families of Ashland County, Ohio and had lived in the Ashland area for 36 years. She had moved to Orlando, Florida where she resided for 16 years and was involved in real estate management. She then moved back to the Mansfield area and had worked for Fuji Processing from which she retired. She was a member of the Ohio Genealogy Society and enjoyed quilting, crafting, woodworking, gardening and animals.
She is survived by a son, James Baker and his fiancé, Joy Carsey of Mansfield; a daughter and son-in-law, Cathleen and Mark Clarke of Polk, Ohio; longtime friend, Kathleen Smith of Mansfield; four grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a step son, David Baker of Ashland; a step daughter, Taunya Baker of Elfers, Florida; a half brother, Robert Loveland and a half sister, Stella Chichester both of Florida. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, James Loveland and a sister, Zona Atwell.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 13, 2013 at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 98 S. Diamond Street, Mansfield conducted by Rev. Dr. Faith Proietti. Burial will follow in Trinity Church Cemetery, State Route 89 and County Road 1302, Ashland County, Ohio. Friends may call one hour prior to the services, from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., at the funeral home on Wednesday.
