Drusilla was born in 1844 in Athens Co., the daughter of Elijah Lowery (Lowry) and Susannah Simonton. She married Elihue Cox in 1862, near the offset of the Civil War. Elihue Cox was the son of John Campbell Cox and Nancy Dillon. This union produced, at least five chidren: Elihue Ellsworth, Charlotte B., Elijah William, Susan Belle and Leota (Leona) M. Cox. Drusilla and Elihue later resettled to nearby Hocking Co., Ohio sometime between the 1880 and 1900 censuses, where other members of their Cox family were living and where they lived out the balances of their lives. Following her passing, Drusilla was interred in the New Marshfield Cemetery in Athens Co.
