Born Jan. 7, 1908, in Prospect, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Almina Morgan Lowry.
On Sept. 1, 1925, in Marion, she married Emmett B. Cardwell; he died April 30, 1985, in Marion.
A homemaker, she was a member of the Marion First Church of the Nazarene.
She is survived by two sons, William B. (Margaret) Cardwell, Marion, Robert S. (Suellen) Cardwell of Marion; two daughters, Barbara Johnston of Marion, Marilyn (Richard) Fairchild of Prospect; a brother, Kenneth Lowry of Marion; 10 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Verna C. Cardwell, a grandson, Rick Fairchild, a great-grandson, Adam Johnston, five brothers and four sisters.
Graveside services are 1 p.m. Thursday at Chapel Heights Memory Gardens with the Rev. Riley Powell officiating. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Wednesday at Boyd Funeral Home.
