Mother Camacho was born 28 January 1923 in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico. She lived a very simple life. After being married and having children, she decided to move her family to New York. It wasn't until 1980 when her son Eladio (Sam) Camacho moved her and Eladio, Jr. to Ridgecrest, CA, which is where she made her home until her passing.
As a faithful member of the Seventh Day Adventist congregation, she enjoyed going to church every Sabbath until she was no longer able. She was a devoted wife to Eladio Camacho, who preceded her in death.
Rafaela Camacho was a very loving mother to four sons, for whom she cared for greatly. Rafaela was a matriarch of the Camacho family and will be forever cherished.
Rafaela Camacho was preceded in death by her husband Eladio Comacho and son Jose Camacho. She is survived by brothers Nicholas Lozada and Tongo Estasio of Puerto Rico, sister Clara Roque of New York, sons Nelson of New York, William and Eladio (Sam) Camacho of Ridgecrest . Grandsons William Camacho, Jr. of Casltleberry, FL, Abel Camacho of El Centro, CA, Sam Camacho of Ridgecrest and Michael Camacho of Tucson, AZ, granddaughters April (Camacho) LaPierre of Ridgecrest, Myriam (Camacho) Evano of Tucson, AZ, Brandy Camacho-Garcia of Ridgecrest, great-grandsons William Anthony Pilkington of Edward AFB, CA, Mason Garcia of Ridgecrest, Tyler and Ryan Camacho of Ridgecrest, great-granddaughters Jennifer Wiles of Tucson, Emily and Madyson Garcia of Ridgecrest and Cytori LaPierre of Ridgecrest, with one Great-great-grandson due to arrive in three weeks (Jennifer Wiles).
