Jody was born November 24, 1922 in Amarillo, TX to the late Warner and Era James Ludden. She loved farm animals, gardening, arts and crafts, and dachshunds. Having lived in Norman, OK for several years while her former husband played football for OU, Jody was an avid fan of the Oklahoma Sooners.
In 1962 she was named honorary all-star of Western Little League because of her volunteer hours. She also volunteered at Abilene Regional Medical Center for 30 years delivering menus to the rooms of the patients.
She returned to Norman in 1965 and worked at First National Bank for many years until moving to a small ranch in Centrahoma, OK.
Preceding her in death were her parents; a son, Steve Greathouse; one sister, Laurene Van Hooser; and husband, Cliff Crane.
Survivors include a daughter, Sharon McDonald and husband, Mike of Abilene; two grandchildren, Kelly Taylor and husband, Brian and Chris McDonald and wife, Christine all of Abilene; and three great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Taylor, Brennen Taylor, and Cade McDonald all of Abilene; her step-sons, Jeff Crane and wife, Denise and their children, Jeffery and Carrie; and Jerry Crane and wife, Diane and their children.
