Alice was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was retired from the city of Kingsport.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude D. Ludden and Emmaline Childs; brother, Donald Ludden and son, Donald S. Baker.
Alice is survived by her husband of 55 years, Earl E. Baker; daughter, Rebecca Light and husband, Jon; grandchildren, Tresica Light Colvin and husband, Jimmy; great-grandchildren, Rodney Colvin, Nicholas Colvin, Kyle Colvin and Lorelai Colvin; sister, Shirley A. Robinson; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Monday, January 21, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. at Hamlett-Dobson, Kingsport with Pastor Susan Arnold officiating. The family will visit with friends prior to the memorial service.
Graveside service will be held Tuesday at 1:45 p.m. at Mountain Home National Cemetery.
The family would like to express special thanks to special friends, Howard Keith, Kathy Carver and Linda Collette, doctors, nurses, home care workers and providers.
