Eloise P. Lyons, 87 of Hanover, passed away on Thursday May 26, 2016. Born and raised in Dorchester, she was born on October 24, 1928 and was the daughter of the late Hugh John and Mary Patricia (Toner) Coyne. Eloise was a legal secretary and worked for John Collins before he was Mayor of Boston. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed bowling, baking, and cooking. Eloise read the Patriot Ledger and Boston Globe from cover to cover every day. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family.

Eloise was the wife of the late John W. Lyons. She is survived by her children Maureen Lyons and her husband Arnold Turner of Weymouth, John Hugh Lyons of Dalton, NH, Michael Lyons and his wife Dianne of Abington, William Lyons of Kingston, Cpt Paul Lyons, US Navy, and his wife Kanako of VA, and the late Mary Louise Lyons. She was the sister of the late Robert Coyne, Catherine Piccinin, and Marilyn Nevins. Eloise is also survived by her seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Visiting hours in the Sullivan Funeral Homes, 551 Washington Street, Rte 53, Hanover, on Tuesday from 4-8 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday at 9 AM at St Mary of the Sacred Heart Church, 392 Hanover Street, Rte 139, Hanover. Burial to follow at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne.
