Mrs. Adele M. Mahnke, 95, of 1312 Green Street, Manitowoc, died Friday,
October 3, 1986 at the family residence. Funeral services will be 1:30 pm
Saturday at Pfeffer Funeral Home. Rev. Arthur H. Wille will officiate with
burial to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Mahnke, nee Adele M. Duebner, was born September 29, 1891 in Newton,
daughter of the late Carl and Wilhelmina Kreie Duebner. She married Louis
Mahnke on January 20, 1908 at Antigo. The couple resided in Newton and later
moved to Manitowoc to make their home. He preceded her in death October 4, 1976.
Mrs. Mahnke was a member of First Reformed United Church of Christ.
Survivors include a son, Lou G. Mahnke of Manitowoc; two daughters-in-law, Mrs.
Esther G. Mahnke of Manitowoc and Mrs. Ludmilla Mahnke of Manitowoc; 5
grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews also survive. She
was preceded in death by two sons, Edward and Ottmar.
Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from 12 noon on Saturday
until the hour of service. There will be no Friday evening visitation at the
funeral home.
