Brothers Hospital of Edward (Pat) Mahnke, 43, a former resident of Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Satruday at the Pfeffer Funeral Home,
Manitowoc. The Rev. A.C. Fischer will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc. Military rites will be conducted at the graveside by the
Oas Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Mr. Mahnke was born in Manitowoc in 1911, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Mahnke.
Fifteen years ago he moved to Chicago where he was employed by the Armored
Express Company. He served three and a half years overseas in the Navy during
World War II, and was a member of a VFW post in Chicago.In 1945 he married Miss
Margaret Smyth in Chicago. She survives with three sons (Survivors omitted for
privacy.); parents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Mahnke of Manitowoc, and two brothers,
Ottman and Lou of Manitowoc.
