ELVA MAHNKE (d. 1957)
Mrs. Arnold Mahnke, 49, of 1711 Wollmer St., Manitowoc, died early Thursday
morning at Holy Family Hospital, Manitowoc, after an illness of several days.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mittnacht Funeral Home, Manitowoc,
with the Rev. Armin Rockle officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.
The former Elva Gerlach was born at Sheboygan July 12, 1906, daughter of Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Gerlach. She attended Sheboygan schools and was married at Waukegan,
Ill., July 24, 1926, and the couple moved to Manitowoc.
Surviving are the husband; four daughters, Mrs. Carroll Martin, Mrs. Elmer Hardrath
and the Misses Bette and Sandma Mahnke of Manitowoc; two sons, Lee and Richard of
Manitowoc; a brother, Sam of Milwaukee and four grand children.
