FRIEDA E. MAHNKE (d. 1970)
Mrs. Reinhold Mahnke, 83, who made her home with her son-in-law and daughter,
Mr. and Mrs. Allen Jansky, of 1401 Cherry Rd., Manitowoc, died Saturday evening
at Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at First German Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. The Rev. N. W. Kock will officiate and burial will
be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Mahnke, nee Frieda Berlin, was born Jan. 27, 1887, at Marshfield, Wis.,
daughter of the late August and Ernestina David Berlin. She was married to
Reinhold Mahnke Sept. 27, 1908, at Marshfield. The couple then moved to Manitowoc.
He preceded her in death Dec. 3, 1967. She was a member of the Ladies Aid of the
First German Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Survivors include two sons, Leroy and Paul, of Manitowoc; a daughter, Mrs. Allen
Jansky, of Manitowoc; a brother, Herman, of Kenosha; six grandchildren and four
great grandchildren. Two brothers, three sisters and a grandson preceded her in
death.
Friends may call at Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, State Street entrance,
Manitowoc, after 6 oclock this Monday evening until noon Tuesday and then at
church.
