Lou G. Mahnke, age 80, a resident of North Ridge Medical and Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, died Saturday morning, July 19, 1997, at the center.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, July 22, 1997, at Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Robert Meyer with burial of his cremains to follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc, at a later date.

He was born January 12, 1917, in Manitowoc, son of the late Louis and Adele Duebner Mahnke. Lou was employed with the City of Manitowoc Street Department
for over 35 years.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Lloyd and Mary Mahnke, Manitowoc; one daughter, Judy Mahnke, Manitowoc. He is also survived by many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; step-children; step-grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Pat and Bud.

Friends may call at Pfeffer Funeral Home on Tuesday afternoon, from 12 noon until the time of service at 1 p.m.
