LOUIS MAHNKE (d. 1976)

Louis Mahnke, 84, of 1312 Green St., Manitowoc, died early Monday morning at
Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc.
The Rev. William Schultz will officiate with burial in Evergreen Cemetery,
Manitowoc.
Mr. Mahnke was born July 10, ___ at Manitowoc, son of the late Frederick and
Henrietta Brandt Mahnke. He attended schools and married Adele Duebner Jan. 20,
1909, at Antigo, moving to Manitowoc to reside. He was employed for the former
Wisconsin Malting Co., now Kurtz Malting Co., retiring in 1957. He was a member
of First Reformed United Church of Christ and Teamster and Chauffers Union
Local 619.
Survivors include his wife, a son, Lou G., of Manitowoc, eight grandchildren
and 20 great grandchildren. Two sons, Ottmar and Edward, four brothers, two
sisters and a grandchild preceded him in death.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home Wednesday evening. Friends may
call at Jens Funeral Home from noon Thursday until the time of service.
