Mr. Daniel G. Mittnacht, 68, of 603 S. Madison Street, Chilton, died Thursday,
September 4, 1986 at Calumet Memorial Hospital, Chilton, following a lengthy
illness. Funeral services will be 11:30 am Saturday at St. Mary Catholic Church,
Chilton. Rev. David Christel will officiate with burial to follow at Evergreen
Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Mittnacht was born November 24, 1917 in Manitowoc, son of the late Peter and
Rose Kellner Mittnacht. He married the former Louise Siebenborn on November 7,
1953 in Manitowoc. Mr. Mittnacht was employed at Chilton Metal until his retirement
in 1982. Mr. Mittnacht was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Chilton.
Survivors include his wife, Louise; four sons, Thomas Mittnacht of Whitefish Bay,
Wisconsin, John Mittnacht of New York City, Mr. D. James Mittnacht of Plainsboro,
New Jersey and Peter Mittnacht of Plainsboro, New Jersey; an aunt, Amanda Mittnacht
of Springfield, Illinois and two grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in
death by two brothers.
Friends may call at St. Mary Catholic Church, Chilton, from 10 am Saturday morning
until the hour of service. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated for
Masses or Amytrophic Laterial Sclerosis Society. Wieting Funeral Home of Chilton
assisted the family with arrangements.
