EDWARD MLADA

Edward (Bud) Mlada, 66, of 1851 Michigan Ave., Manitowoc, died Thursday afternoon in Memorial Hospital, Manitowoc.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday in First Reformed United Church of Christ, Manitowoc. The Rev. William Schultz will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mr. Mlada was born June 1, 1913, in Manitowoc, son of Hazel Runge Mlada and the late Erwin Mlada. He attended Manitowoc Schools and married Alys Jirikowic June 18, 1936 in Kaukauna, coming to Manitowoc to reside. He retired in 1978 as assistant manager of Customer Service Department at Mirro Corporation. Mr. Mlada was a member of First Reformed United Church of Christ and was a former choir member and elder. He was also a member of Manitowoc Musicians Union, and sang and played in his brother's orchestra for many years, was an organist for Manitowoc Chapter Order of DeMolay and a member of Manitowoc Masonic Lodge No. 65, F and AM.
Survivors include his wife, Alys, his mother, Mrs. Hazel Mlada, a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Carmen Mlada of Manitowoc, cousins, nieces and nephews. His father and a sister preceded him in death.
Friends may call in Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, 5 o'clock to 9 o'clock this Friday afternoon and in the church from noon Saturday until the time of service. A Masonic memorial service will be 7:30 o'clock Friday evening. Memorials may be made to First Reformed United Church of Christ.
