Mrs. Hazel M. Malada(sic), 92, formerly of 1110 S. 34th St., Manitowoc, died
Friday, October 24, 1986 at Park Lawn Nursing Home, Manitowoc. Funeral services
will be 1:30 pm Monday at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc. The Rev. William Plank
will officiate and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
Mrs. Malada was born July 24, 1894 at Manitowoc, daughter of the late Robert
and Elizabeth Houghton Runge. She attended schools in Manitowoc. She was married
to Erwin Malada, May 12, 1912 at Manitowoc, the couple residing here all their
lives. Her husband preceded her in death in 1963. Mrs. Malada was employed at
JC Penney Company for many years. She was a 50 year member of First Presbyterian
Church, a former member of Board of Women Deacons and Order of Eastern Star No.
196.
Survivors include two daughters-in-law, Carmin Malada and Alys Malada, both of
Manitowoc; 2 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons and a grandchild.
Friends may call at Jens Funeral Home, Manitowoc, from noon until the time of
services on Monday. There will be no Sunday evening visitation at the Funeral
Home. A memorial has been established in her name.
