Emily Freeburne Macaulay, 87 of Port Jervis, NY, and resided in Paterson, NJ for most of her life, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern, NY. She was a retired Electronic Inspector for Data Scope, Paramus, NJ.

The daughter of the late James and Emily (Freeburne) Deatcher she was born on February 25, 1928 in Glasgow, Scotland. Emily was married to the late Joseph Macaulay, who predeceased her in 1981.

Survivors include her son James Macaulay of NH; two daughters Emily Ciaurro of NH, Dawn Cholewka of Port Jervis, NY; four grandchildren Michael Ciaurro, Amanda Sauer, Heather Cholewka and Ashley Cholewka; three great grandchildren Caleb, Madeline, and Jackson. She was predeceased by one sister Sadie MacPhail in 2001.

Friends may call at The Church of the Good Shepard & St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church, 110 West Catharine St, Milford PA 18337 at 1:30 pm on Thursday January 21, 2015. A memorial service will be held at The Church of the Good Shepard & St, John the Evangelist Episcopal Church at 2:00 pm with Rev. Van A. Bankston officiating.
