East Palestine – Jodie L. Jones, age 58, of 48274 Brushville Road, died at 7:08 a.m. Monday at her home.

Mrs. Jones was born June 7, 1947 in Salem, a daughter of Albert C. and Catherine Ancil Macek and had lived in this area all of her life. She was a homemaker and part time trucking dispatcher.

She is survived by her husband, William S. Jones, whom she married August 2, 2002; her mother, Catherine Macek of East Palestine; three daughters, Michelle Burkett of Clewiston, FL, Kimberly Conley of Sebring, FL, and Kelly Swindel of Clewiston, FL; two sons, Tracy Hoopes of Clewiston, FL and Jeffery W. Allison of Lisbon; a brother, Richard Macek of East Palestine; 13 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her father, Albert C. Macek and a brother, Albert W. Macek.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Van Dyke-Swaney Funeral Home, East Palestine, with the Reverend Brian Hassel officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Memorial Cemetery, Unity Township.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 7-9 p.m. on Thursday and one hour prior to the services on Friday.
