In addition to her husband, she was survived by her mother; three sons, Eugene Jr., Charles and Thomas Hartman; two brothers, Charles Walter Madding and Richard David Madding.
She was preceded in death by her father, and two brothers, Hyatt Pierce Madding and Robert Franklin Madding.
Funeral services for Mary Hartman were held on September 21, 1961 in the Emmons Chapel, Lawrenceville, Illinois followed by interment in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
