Claudette sweetheart and love of James A. Magennis passed away suddenly. She was surrounded by all her children at Hartford Hospital.

She was born in Hartford, the daughter of the late Philippe and Lilliane (Langlois) Gagnon. She grew up in West Hartford where she attended Hall High School and went on to graduate from the Hartford College for Women.

She worked for Family Health Services as a coordinator for Project Home Share.
She volunteered for the Wethersfield PTA, the Historical Society, the Library, 4-H, YMCA, Cub Scouts, Girl Scouts, Project FUN, in addition to the Griswoldville Chapel Ladies Aid Society.

In addition to her husband with whom she shared 47 wonderful years, she is survived by their five children and their families, James and Gina Magennis of Canton, Tom and Teri Magennis of Wethersfield, Cathleen (Magennis) and Steven Wyatt of Waterford, VA, Brian and Jackie Magennis of Pewaukee, WI, and Michele (Magennis) and Peter Attardo of Wethersfield. She is survived by two brothers and their families, Ron and Marilyn Gagnon of Dana Point, CA and Phil and Judy Gagnon of San Diego, CA. She is also survived by eleven grandchildren, Meghan, Kelly, Michael, Andrew, Grant, Alisa, Sarah, Ford, Catherine, Erin, and Matthew, who will dearly miss their Mémère. She is further survived by nephews, nieces and a lovely, large extended family.
The family is very grateful to the caring staff of the Hartford Hospital, Bliss 10.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Corpus Christi Church, 601 Silas Deane Highway, Wethersfield on Wednesday, October 23, at 10am. Friends may call Tuesday, 4-8pm, at the D'Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield.
