TISHOMINGO -- Services for Arlene G. Lemons, 74, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Gneich and the Rev. James Watson officiating. Interment will be at Tishomingo Cemetery under the direction of Watts Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lemons was born Sept. 27, 1925, in Tishomingo, to Buster A. and Sue L. Pickney Maharg. She died Sept. 26, 2000, in Oklahoma City.
She graduated from Tishomingo High School in 1943 and was a member of First Baptist Church in Texas City, Texas. She returned to Tishomingo in 1981. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley L. "Billy" Lemons in 1998; a son, Wesley Lee, in 1974; and two sisters, Evelyn Payne and Betty Houser.
She is survived by a sister, Mary L. Greenberg, Tishomingo.
Bearers will be Jack Howell, Richard Baker, Joe K. Clark, Perry Oliver, James Nelson and Sean Pratt.
