Summary: Lititz Man Dies On Hunting Trip, Heart Attack Fells C. S. Maharg; One hunter from Lancaster County was stricken fatally . . . Monday on the first day of Pennsylvania's deer hunting season.
Fatally stricken was Clarence (Mag) S., Maharag [sic], 45, plant superintendent of the Woodstream Corp., Lititz. He suffered a fatal heart attack while at a hunting lodge in Potter County.
. . . . Maharg, of 312 Laurel Ave., Lititz, died at 5:22 p.m. at the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital in Coudersport. He had been with some Lancaster County hunters at Hauseburig Hunting Club. He was the husband of June Schwartz Maharg.
Born in Pottstown, he was a son of the late Clarence E. and Ella Eltonhead Maharg. He was a resident of Lititz most of his life and was employed by Woodstream for 28 years. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army in World War II, a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, and the Lititz Lions Club.
Surviving in addition to his wife are three sons, Michael H., a student at the University of Wyoming; Patrick C., a student at Pennsylvania State University; and Kerry E., at home; and a daughter, Kelly J., at home; three sisters, Mrs. Abram Thomas, Lititz; Mrs. John Roth, Lancaster; and Mrs. Forrest A. Mow, San Rafael, Calif.; and one brother, Edward M. Carson City, Nev.
