MAIER, Arnold - Born in 1918 in North Dakota, passed away on October 31, 2007 in Petaluma. Devoted husband of Eileen Maier of Petaluma. Cherished father of Murphy Maier, Lynn Liddle, and the late Faye Santero. Adored grandfather of seven and great-grandfather of two. Beloved son of the late Eva Merkel and Jacob Maier. Dear stepson of the late Christ Merkel. Loving brother of Florence Fernandez, Mabel Donzelli, Mary Feickert and the late Rueben Maier, Ben Merkel, Emil Merkel, Irene Fomasi, George Merkel, Gottfried Merkel, and Reinhold Merkel. Survived by numerous nieces and nephews. A Member of: St. John Lutheran Church. Arnold enlisted in the U.S. Army and served during World War II. He worked as a building contractor for over 50 years in Sonoma County. Friends and family are invited to attend the Memorial Service, Saturday, November 10, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, 455 McNear Ave., Petaluma, CA 94952 or your favorite charity.
