Joseph Malsberger, a well-known citizen, died yesterday morning at his residence, 115 North 8th street, of a complication of diseases. He had been ailing the last 4 months. He resided in Reading all his life time and many years ago taught school at 10th and Washington streets. Deceased held the positions of appraisement assessor and tax collector for a long time in the 8th ward, where he was highly esteemed. His wife and four children - Mrs. Lewis Scull, Mrs. James R. Tyson, Miss Sallie Malsberger and Charles A. Malsberger - survive. The four surviving brothers are: Daniel, John, Aaron and Reuben Malsberger.
