Abraham Mann (né Avrum Men) was a dry cleaner born in Skvyra, a town in the Kiev Oblast (province) of central Ukraine. He immigrated to the U.S on the RMS Lusitania and arrived in New York, 15 May 1914. He settled in Wayne, Michigan where he worked as a laundryman, then in Los Angeles. He was the second husband of Ann Lehrer and had two daughters, Ruthie (b 1924) and Annie (b 1930) by his first wife, Mollie Mann (née Malka Wolodarsky, b 5 March 1899, Skvyra), who had immigrated 1 July 1907 and died 29 December 1931, age 32, in Los Angeles.
