Employed as a supervisor by Ingersoll Milling Machine Co. for 34 years. Member of Rockford Harmony Singing Society. Graduated from Rockford Central High School.

Survivors include; his wife Ruth, his mother Mrs. Anna Markunas; three daughters, Jean Hutchinson, Joan and Ruthanne Markunas, both at home; one son, Albert L. Markunas, a student of Massachusetts institute of Technology, Bedford, Mass.; one sister, Mrs. Mary Adams, Chicago.
