Jeraldine Marney Cutright, passed away peacefully at home in Fresno, Ca., with her family at her side, on Sunday, December 22, 2013. Jerri was born in Farwell, Tx. on December 12, 1925, and grew up in Oklahoma. She married Forest Farrell "Chick" Cutright in 1943. They moved to California, where they had three daughters. Jerri enjoyed her career as the Event Booking Clerk at the Fresno Convention Center, from its opening in 1966, until her retirement in 1991. She was respected for her hard work, and knowledge of the entertainment and convention industries. She was the last of her generation and she was resilient, generous, strong willed, smart, organized, sweet, and feisty. Most of all, she was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. Jerri was a people person, and she never forgot a name. She enjoyed traveling, theater, playing bridge, dancing and keeping up with current events. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority for over 57 years, and was a loyal friend to her "sisters" in Alpha Zeta Master chapter. The family would like to express our gratitude to Jerri's caregivers and "spoilers", Claudia, Luz and Shannon; and to the angels of Hinds Hospice, for their tender loving care. She was preceded in death by her daughters, Janet Farelyn Duenes and Coral Nedra Cutright; her former husband Chick; and all seven of her Marney siblings and their spouses. Jerri is survived by her daughter and husband, Myra and Tom Coble; son-in-law, Manuel Duenes; four grandchildren, Noah and Sarah Coble, Richard Tomasian, and Karen Garcia; and three great-grandchildren, Ryan, Danielle and Emma Garcia. A Celebration of Jerri's Life will be held at the clubhouse of Westlake Park, 2706 W. Ashlan, Fresno, Ca. on Friday, January 3, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. Private interment will be held at Visalia Public Cemetery. Remembrances may be made to Hind's Hospice, 1616 W. Shaw, A-5, Fresno, Ca. 93711. Whitehurst, Sullivan, Burns and Blair Funeral Home, 1525 East Saginaw Way, Fresno, California (559)227-4048
