Matilda was born in Chicago and spent most of her life in Portland and Milwaukie, Oregon. She was a china painter for many years. She also worked in the women's shelter at Volunteers of America until her retirement in 1980. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, Glenn; son, Dick Fellows; daughter Diane, and husband, Dick Miller; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
