COPELAND, ALICE BERNICE (BROWNIE) - age 84 of Knoxville, TN, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Friday October 17, 2014 at NHC Healthcare. Member of the Baptist faith and retired from the dietary department at Fort Sanders Hospital. Preceded in death by husband Arthur Copeland; parents Rush Richard and Gertrude Martin; sisters Mary Lindsey, Katy Gibson, Dorothy Martin, and Ella Mae Forshee; brothers Rush Richard Martin, Jr., Roy and Robert Martin; sister-in-law Martha Martin. Survived by sons James Copeland and wife Becky, Gary, Bobby, and Steve Copeland; grandchildren Heather and Michael Copeland, Kristie Besetsny, and James Copeland, Jr.; great grandchildren Levi and Jarreth Copeland, Britnie and Alex Latham, and Caitlin Cox; great great grandchild Angela Lopez; sisters Betty McCown, Helen Flanagan, Margaret Newcomb, and Katherine Martin; brother Howard Martin; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 pm Wednesday October 22, 2014 at Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel with funeral service to follow at 8:00 pm with Reverend Jim Millirons officiating. Family and friends will meet and leave from Rose Mortuary Broadway Chapel at 12:15 pm Thursday and travel in procession to Lynnhurst Cemetery for graveside services at 1:00 pm.
