Dorothy survived her husband Albert C. Martin Jr., one of Los Angeles's leading architects, by five years. Dorothy was the daughter of former president of the Bank of Whittier, Charles H. Dolde.
She is survived by four of her five children: David C. Martin, Mary Marquardt Martin, Claire Martin, and Charles D. Martin. Her eldest son Albert C. Martin III died in 1999. Dorothy is also survived be ten grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Dorothy graduated from the University of Southern California and throughout her life was very active with The Los Angeles Orthopedic Hospital's Searchlighters Support Group, the Assistance League, The University of Southern California's Town and Gown Alumni Association, and the Banning Museum in Long Beach. Dorothy is in our thoughts and prayers.
