Laura Alati, 96 years, of Lambertville, MI passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2014 in the Vibrant Life Senior Living in Temperance. Laura had worked as a Food Service Supervisor at Harper Grace Hospital in Detroit, MI for 30 years. The daughter of Guglielmo and Palma Masi she was born November 2, 1917 in Ceccano, Italy.

She married Pasquale Alati in 1950 and he preceded her in death. Laura loved cooking and sewing. She enjoyed vegetable gardening and canning tomatoes. She prayed the Rosary daily. Laura was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Temperance and the SORA Italian American Club.

She is survived by her loving son, William (Donna) Alati; brother: Lawrence Masi, sister: Giovanni Ruspendino; 2 grandchildren, Ann (Anthony) Richendollar, Anthony Alati; 5 great-grandchildren, Megan, Noah, Jack, Mario, Marley

Visitation will be Friday, August 22, 2014 from 2 PM until 8 PM in Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, MI. The Funeral Mass will be Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 11 AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church where she will lie in state in the Narthex after 10 AM, celebrated by the Pastor, Fr. Don LaCuesta. Burial will follow in the Church Cemetery.

The family gives a special thanks to the care givers at Vibrant Life and to the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Christopher's group, Sharon, Alice, and Helen.
