Frances was married to Col. Alexander James Dallas (of the famous Dallas line) on January 31, 1855 in Washington DC.

She was the daughter of noted silversmith Seraphim Masi and Catherine Ann (Bradford-direct descendant of the Mayflower Bradfords) Masi.

Francis and Alexander had no children of their own, but adopted Frances's two nieces when their mother, Caroline Masi deFrondat (Frances' sister)died at a young age. The girls, Marie Louise deFrondat and Elise Josephine deFrondat were raised with the Dallas name.

Frances was 80 years old when she died from a serious burn she received in her residence at the Gladstone Apartments in Washington D.C.
