Mrs. Caffey was a native of Brookhaven and longtime resident of Jackson. She retired from Blue Cross/Blue Shield as Department manager after 35 years. She was a member of Colonial Heights Baptist Church in Ridgeland. She was a member of the Sr. choir.
Her husband, Erwin Caffey; parents, Mr. & Mrs. Dick Mason; and son, Richard Caffey, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her daughters, Margaret Ann Lee of Lewisville, Texas and Evelyn Panter of Georgia; daughter-in-law, Betty Caffey of Brandon; granddaughter, Kelly Panter of Georgia; grandson, Shannon Caffey of Nevada; two nephews, Mason Arnold and Lloyd Arnold of Jackson; and numerous cousins.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 1900 Dunbarton Dr., Jackson, MS 39216 or Hospice Ministries, 450 Towne Center Blvd., Ridgeland, MS 39157.
