The Huntsville Times, Sunday, July 7, 1946: Rites for Mason Scheduled Today. Funeral services for Clara Mae Mason, 17, who died at the Huntsville Hospital Saturday morning, will be held this afternoon at 3 o’clock in the Oakley church, Plevna. Interment will be in the Miller cemetery. Spry Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. She is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Luther Mason; one brother, William; seven sisters, Levania, Beatrice, Edna, Mattie, Dorothy, Jewel and Kathryn; and several aunts and uncles. Pallbearers will be J. W. Mason, Clifford Mason, McClain Mason, E. C. Mason, Leon Mason, and Parks Hughes. She attended Plevna high school.
