DORIS A. MASS
Doris A. Mass [nee Schrock], 79, a resident of Vermilion Township, died Wednesday, Jan. 11, 2012 at home following a short illness.
She was born Sept. 10, 1931 in Connellsville, Pa. Doris was raised in Pennsylvania and lived in Lorain for several years before moving to Vermilion in 1980.
Doris was employed by Amherst Rini Rego in the bakery department before retiring in 1999. She was a devoted mother and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. Doris also enjoyed reading.
Survivors include her sons Michael W. Mass and his wife Jean of Lorain, Raymond F. Mass of Lorain, Anthony L. Mass of Vermilion Township, Kenneth E. Mass of Lorain, and Joseph R. Mass of Vermilion Township; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and sister Patricia Showman of Connellsville, Pa.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 44 years Michael G. Mass in 1997; brothers Edgar and Robert Schrock; and by her parents Clarence and Della May Schrock [nee Hart].
Services were Monday, Jan. 16, 2012 at Hempel Funeral Home in Amherst, with burial at Crownhill Cemetery, Amherst.
