MASS, Grace E. Witt, 100, of Bellaire, OH, died Tuesday, October 30, 2012, at the Shadyside Care Center, Shadyside, OH.
She was born November 26, 1911, in Benwood, WV a daughter of the late Lawrence and Mary (D'Aquila) Witt.
She is a member of the St. John Catholic Church, Bellaire, OH. She sang with her sister, Ellen, at WWVA Jamboree, they were known as the Witt Sisters.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Anthony and Albert Witt, and four sisters, Josephine Carman, Rose D'Amico, Florence Cicogna and Ellen Massa.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Mass, of Bellaire, OH, two children, Mary (Joseph) DeGenova and Rob (Denise) Mass, both of Bellaire, OH, four grandchildren, Annemarie (Michael) Dimmick, Anthony DeGenova, David Mass and Dana Mass, two great-great-grandchildren, Kellan and Marina, a step great-grandson, Coltn and several nieces and nephews Family and friends will be received Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes and Crematory, 441 37th St. from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Friday, November 2, 2012, at the St. John Catholic Church, Bellaire, OH at 10 a.m. with Father Daniel Heusel as Celebrant.
Interment in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Bellaire, OH.
There will be a Vigil service Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
