One of Carrollton's oldest residents will celebrate his 96th birthday Sunday, March 13. He is Ira Massay, who resides with his daughter, Edna Hendricks, at 321 Ray Ave. Born near Sistersville, West Virginia, March 13, 1870, he was married August 19, 1895, to the former Nora Guess, who died in August 1955.

Mr. Massay retired in September 1946 from the New York Central Railroad. He also has three sons, George of Connellsville, Pa.; Jerome of 333 Raley Ave. here and Howard of Fox Twp. Rt. 5, Carrollton. There are nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
