He was a retired U.S. Navy Chief Airman Survival Equipmentman, having served over 20 years. He was a life member and former commissioner of the Willingboro Fire Department and Fire Police, a special police officer in Willingboro, and the treasurer of the Parachute Riggers Association.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 58 years, Jean A. (Grove) Massay; two sons and one daughter-in-law, Guy Massay and Jimmy and Eileen Massay; one daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Keith Brenner; five grandchildren; three brothers and three sisters-in-law, John and Dee Massay, Bob and Glenda Massay, and Jimmy and Susan Massay; his mother-in-law, who is 101 years young, Marian A. (Miller) Grove; as well as other relatives and friends.
Funeral services with full U.S. Navy honors will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Brig. Gen. Wm. C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel. Relatives and friends please gather directly at the cemetery chapel.
Due to cemetery floral restrictions, memorial donations are requested to the Deborah Heart and Lung Hospital of Browns Mills in his memory.
