Ethel was born March 2, 1927 in Royalton to Rolla and Pearl (Greathouse) Masters. She married Frank P. Calcaterra on May 20, 1950 in Carbondale and they have shared over 56 years of marriage.
Ethel was a homemaker. She was a member of 1st United Methodist Church in Herrin. She was also a volunteer for the Herrin Festa, Community Pantry and served as an Election Judge for Williamson County. She enjoyed gardening in her flower garden, but most of all her energy, enthusiasm and her pride was in her family and home.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, June 21, 2006 at 1:00 P.M. at Johnson-Hughes Funeral Home with Rev. Ralph Totten officiating. Burial will follow in San Carlo Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 6:00 – 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
