Crystal Bozarth, 105, of Valparaiso passed away Monday, May 17, 2010.
She was born August 13, 1904 in Marion, IN to the late John and Nellie (Korporal) Mathias.
On February 20, 1922 in St. Joseph, MI she was married to Warren A. Bozarth who passed away in 1962.
Crystal is survived by her daughters: Betty Marrell, Sharon Armstrong; and daughter-in-law, Della Bozarth, all of Valparaiso; grandchildren: Diane (Clyde) Childers, Carmel IN, Dennis (Sheena) Marrell and Rebecca (Jake) Wagner of Valparaiso, Michael Bozarth of Indianapolis, Lori (Kevin) Havard of Wales and Warren Bozarth of Montclair, NJ. She also is survived by seven great grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by sons: Gary and Don Bozarth; infant son, Warren; granddaughters: Natalie Beard and Anne Bozarth; and sons-in-law: Richard Marrell and Basil Armstrong. Also preceding her were brothers: Virgil, Floyd and Harry Mathias; and sisters: Gladys Butz and Florence Martin. Crystal was a member of First United Methodist Church, Village Park Enrichment Center (formerly Banta Senior Center) and Life Member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 1:00 PM at Bartholomew Funeral Home with Rev. David Byrum officiating.
Burial will be in Graceland Memorial Park, Valparaiso, IN.
Visitation will be Saturday, May 22, 2010, from 11:00 AM until time of funeral services. Memorial donations may be made to the Village Park Enrichment Center, 605 Beech, Valparaiso, IN 46383.
